Majority of us spend more time with our co-workers compared to anyone else. Depending on the job type/duties, we spend 8,10,12 and up to 24 hours or days at work for those in the medical field. It is for these reasons I believe we have to foster professional and positive relationships in the work place that make our jobs easier.
This video highlights ways to promote/sustain work relationships, how to avoid conflicts in the work place and how to work through conflicts if it cannot be avoided.

I am currently a SAHM, but at my last job I truly enjoyed my co-workers and made it a point to try and be friendly with everyone. You spend such a large portion of your day with them, it’s much more enjoyable if you get along with them also. Great post.

This is the great benefit of working from home. My family are the only people I deal with that often, and I chose them! But, I have had jobs before that I worked from 8-5 so it was so important to have a good relationship with those people. We didn’t have to be friends but were friendly.
When I used to work I was close to my co-workers. They were my world. Now that I stay at home I truly miss them. It is really important to have positive relationships with your co-workers to be happy at work.
It is always very important to have a good relationship with co-workers so that everyone can work with a positive mood. I work from home now so most of the time I am only surrounded by family, close friends and my cats.
this is definitely going on my to watch list. Kts so important to cultivate healthy work relationships, afterall we spend so much time at work, we need to feel that its a safe and healthy environment
This is such an important topic. I have worked in so many toxic environments over time, and long commutes did not help my own ability to interact positively with my coworkers when I got there, I know. But being friendly to one’s coworkers is definitely something important to do!

It’s so important to get along well with co workers. Need not become great friends but it’s vital that we don’t make enemies 😉 I had a terrible co-worker once. She made my life hell! I hated going to work then.
I see how that can make going to work difficult.
This is one of the major reasons I like to work from home. However, being positive at work is a must and it is always nice when you have good colleagues to work alongside xx
I current work from home as well and dont think I would ever go back to the office settle. I love the peacefulness that comes with working from home.

Right now, I am trying to create space with my coworkers because they are stressing me out. They are so negative and just don’t really be positive;.
At you next team meeting, you could share this video with them and start a dialog from there.
